Robot Car Chassis. A robot chassis platform that is simple to assemble and operate.

A powerful
four-wheel drive base with lots of area for sensors and controls.
Dc Gear Motor. Widely used to drive small robots and simple actuators. An ordinary dc motor
but with plastic or metal speed reduction gears combined on purpose to scale down its rotation
per minute rate. An encased dc motor with a wheelwork consisting of a connected set of rotating
gears that transmit force for a specified purpose.
Robot Car Wheels. Wheels are your best bet for robots as they are easy to design, implement
and practical for robots that require speed. They also do not suffer from static or dynamic
stability as the center of gravity of robot does not change when they are in motion or just
standing still and do not require complex models, designs and algorithms.
Encoder Disks.Used to make a form of Rotary Encoder – a type of sensor typically used to
measure the rotation speed of a shaft or motor. These are ideal when building a wheeled or
tracked robot – they can be used to determine distance traveled, correct differences in motor
speeds, and when coupled with other sensors, if it is moving or stuck.
Caster Wheel. It is used to move the prototype from one place to another in order to have a
movable device. Helps to achieve a near-omnidirectional mobility of a mobile robot.
Battery Holder. An integrated or separate cavity to hold cells. If it is a separate compartment, it
can be attached to a cell-powered device. It is used to hold the cells securely and power the
device it is attached to. The primary function of a battery holder is to facilitate the power supply
to the device it is attached to.
2 Pin Switch. Allows you to turn a device on/off. It has a positive and negative. The electricity
will go through and when you switch to the off position, the electricity is cut off.
Fastener.
L12 Spacers. Spacers are typically used to space circuit boards. These spacers are ideal for
applications that require greater support from a bigger contact surface such as filling in the gap
between a tower and a robot’s arm on a shaft.
Screw. A type of fastener, usually made from metal, that commonly comprises a head at one
end, and a point at the other, and a shaft shaped so that it can be turned into another material.
Screws are typically used to hold materials or objects together, or to position objects.
M3 Nuts. Have a diameter of 3 mm and smallest sized nut. Used in conjunction with a mating
bolt to fasten multiple parts together.
L298N Motor Driver. A controller that uses an H-Bridge to easily control the direction and
speed of up to two DC motors.
IR Proximity Sensor. A simple Infrared Sensor which is used to detect obstacles. This is an
Active Infrared sensor, it emits and detects its own IR rays. A passive infrared sensor only
detects the emitted IR Rays from objects.
9-volt Battery (PP3 battery). Used to power up certain electronic components of the robots
like the microcontroller and other low power drawing electronics in the robot like sensors.
PCB Breadboard. A permanent device in electronics because of the soldering required. Used a
PCB to run aelectronic project. It is a the small green board covered in grooves and connections
found in almost any electronic device available.
7404 IC.
Jump wires. An electrical wire, or group of them in a cable, with a connector or pin at each end,
which is normally used to interconnect the components of a breadboard or other prototype or test
circuit, internally or with other equipment or components, without soldering.
