PRACTICAL ORIENTED COMPONENT

TITLE PRECIPITATION

WEEK 5

Introduction
In this activity the students are required to carry out tests to identify the amount
of rainfall in different areas.

Objectives
At the end of the laboratory activities, students would be able:
1. To determine the amount of rainfall in the selected areas.
PREAMBLE
2. To understand the effects of precipitation in hydrology.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the laboratory activities, students would be able:
1. To explain the precipitation.
2. To work as a team to produce a full report complete with analysis.

Problem Statement
Rainfall were collected from two (2) different locations labeled as location A and
PROBLEM STATEMENT
B. You are required to carry out the test for one (1) week by using the
appropriate apparatus.

3.1 Apparatus
The group must identify the availability of the chosen apparatus before
the right procedures can be identified.
3.2 Procedures
WAYS & MEANS The group is required to search for the relevant procedure to carry out the
test based on the available apparatus.
3.3 Data Acquisition
All data collected and observed during the test must be tabulate in proper
format for easy verification and presentation of the report.

Results, Analysis and Conclusion


The group is required to submit a report of the results highlighting the apparatus
used, the procedures undertaken for the test, data acquisition process, analysis
RESULTS carried out and the relevancy of the set-out output to address the given
problem. The format of the report is left to the creativity and the discretion of
the group.
The report must be submitted within 7 days after the completion of the test.
