1.1 Customer “SAMI” requirements :

The Customer require 2 choices :

a.FS 33446 “Desert Tan 686" Federal Standard System 595b “= FED-STD-595”
b.CARC TAN, FS 33446 “Desert Tan 686" Federal Standard System 595b

1.2 Our paint code: FS 33446

Lets take the First Option : FED595 is Federal std for colours used in government procurement ,
mainly it contain all the approved chips (the different unique single colour appearance ) , one of their colour code is Our colour
code 33446 (FS33446) Which refer to as “desert tan 686 camo”

1.4 Camouflage ( Our paint ) requirement as per FED-STD-595:

TAN 686A is CAMOUFLAGE :

a) The contract required colour is Tan

686A it is a camouflage type of
colours ,
b) the standard address the camouflage
in particularly by differs them on
several angles of the UV Reflection .

IN GENERAL:
a) According UV Reflection types of paint , some
require an export licence
(Avoid those product when purchasing from outsea
in case there is no local paint available ). 6

The SAMI / WAHAJ Contract state “Federal

Standard System 595b “= FED-STD-595 Rev B “

The Rev B was superseded by Rev C ,after That the

spec FED-STD-595 was cancelled and replaced by
SAE-AMS-STD-595 in February 14, 2017

Note : The updated applicable AMS Spec define

the authorized colour chips used in governement
procurement .

1- FED-STD-595 is The Federal standard for colours used in government procurement

2- The Customer require FS 33446 colour code , as per FED-STD-595 (contain many codes FS XXXXX )

3- The Colour FS 33446 is The colour of “desert tan 686 camo”

4- Search of automotive paint that fit the requirement of the color FS33446 .
No Waiver or deviation required as this purchase and application shall be as per contract requirement

5- The FED-STD-595 Rev B was superseded by Rev C ,

after That the spec FED-STD-595 was cancelled and replaced by SAE-AMS-STD-595 in February 14, 2017 .
