Set in rural Bangladesh, the film depicts the struggles ,challenges and faced by a group of
fishermen living along the Padma River.

fishermen by occupation. They rely on the river for their livelihood, fishing for hilsa, the

also resist it. They organize protests and strikes to demand fair prices for their catch.
Kuber becomes a symbol of resistance against the oppressive traders.

of fish or celebrate local festivals. However, they also face sorrow and hardship,
especially when natural disasters strike or when they are exploited.

where men are responsible for fishing, and women take care of the household and
children. Kuber's relationship with his wife, Amina, reflects the struggles and unity in
their community.
