BAGONG SILANG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The orientation provided insights into the JVR Foundation, its leadership,
establishment, main offices, and ongoing programs, such as wheelchair donations,
teacher training, library donations, building constructions, and bridge constructions.
The foundation's primary objective is to enhance the well-being of underprivileged
Filipinos through diverse initiatives. Specifically focusing on the feeding program, the
goal was discussed, aiming to offer additional nutrition to 50 selected learners from
kindergarten to grade 3 and improve their nutritional status.
Several schools, including Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, M.P Cuarderno
Elementary School, BO Central Elementary School, and two other schools from
Bataan, were part of the orientation. The JVR Foundation staff outlined the assistance
and donations that the school would receive throughout the feeding program. This
includes the provision of milk powder for consumption in the morning and a complete
meal during lunch, comprising rice and a dish. Each learner has a budget of 25 PHP,
emphasizing the importance of serving a variety of meals with protein as the main
component. Items like flavorings, preservatives, canned goods, and frozen goods are
prohibited.
Transportation and LPG allowances will also be provided by the foundation. The
significance of effective communication with parents and guardians of the feeding
beneficiaries was highlighted to ensure the success of the program. The JVR
Foundation stands as a beacon of hope for those in need of support, and Bagong
Silang Elementary School is privileged to participate in this project, aiding
undernourished learners.
