Plate 5: Center of an Arc

Instructions:

• Find the center of the arcs using the method discussed earlier:
o Select 3 points A, B and C on the arc and join AB and BC.
o Bisect AB and BC using your compass
o Find the intersection point of the bisecting lines – that will be the center of the arc
• Use the given scale to derive the dimensions of the figure.
• Create extension, dimension and leader lines to show the dimensions of your drawing.
• No need to draw the scale.
• Use 0.7mm tech pen for the figure, 0.35mm tech pen for the dimension lines and 0.5mm tech
pen for all texts.
