Q No. 2: In what ways did the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬remember Khadijah (‫)رضي هللا عنها‬
after her death?
Ans: The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬often mentioned Khadijah (‫)رضي هللا عنها‬. He used to say
“She believed in me when no one else did, she accepted Islam when people
rejected me and she helped and comforted me when there was no one else to lend
me a helping hand”.

Q: Why did the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬say, "The best women of her time was Khadijah
(‫ ?")رضي هللا عنها‬Explain this keeping in mind the Prophet's (‫ )ﷺ‬opinion of her.
Ans: This tells us about the opinion of the Prophet (S.A.W.) about Khadija
(R.A.). She was the first one to accept Islam. She also helped the Prophet
(S.A.W.) when there was no one to help him. The Prophet (S.A.W.) loved her a
lot and did not marry anyone while she was alive.

Q1. Who accompanied the Prophet (‫ )صلى هللا عليه و سلم‬on his business trip to
Syria? Describe what happened during this trip.
Ans: Maisarah, the slave of Khadijah (‫)رضي هللا عنها‬, accompanied the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬
on his trip to Syria. This trip proved extremely profitable. During the journey
Maisarah noticed wonderful qualities in the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬, such as honesty, noble
principles and business skills.

Q2. Describe what happened in the cave of Hira.

Ans: The first revelation of the Quran took place in the cave of Hira during
the month of Ramazan. The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬was 40 years old at that time. Angel
Jibreel (AS) revealed the first five verses of Surah Al-Alaq to the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬.
When he returned home from the cave of Hira, his heart was trembling. He told
Khadijah (RA), “Wrap me up, Wrap me up.”

Q3. How did Khadijah comfort Prophet (‫?)صلى هللا عليه و سلم‬
Ans: Khadijah stood by the Prophet and comforted him. She said,” Allah will
never humiliate you. You fulfill the duties of kinship (relations); you support the
weak, you help the poor and the needy and endure hardships in the path of
truthfulness.”

Q4. What did Waraqah Ibn Nawfal tell Muhammad (‫?)صلى هللا عليه و سلم‬
Ans: Waraqah told him that the angel who came to him was the same angel
whom Allah (SWT) sent to Prophet Musa ‫عليه السالم‬. He also told him that his
people would drive him out of his city.
