As a math instructor for Northern Michigan University’s School of Education, Leadership, and
Public Service, I write this letter of reference for Ms. Jitte Okagbare who successfully completed my
math methods courses during the winter of 2023. I can attest to Ms. Okagbare’s ability to create a
learning environment that centers around student engagement.
Ms. Okagbare impressed me with her passion to create equitable learning environments for all
students. She understood the importance of maintaining high standards for all students. She is
invested in student inclusion and success.
I believe that as Ms. Okagbare moves into her student teaching experience she will continue to grow
and develop, while consistently looking for strategies to do so. She will seek out conversations with
