Chapter III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design

This research is non-experimental, descript research method. It is an important

tool for collecting and analyzing information from the selected individuals. It is widely

accepted as a key tool for conducting and applying basic BSP Program research

methodology. Thus, it can be useful when a researchers want to collect a data on a


phenomenon that cannot be directly observed.

This research is utilizing the Descriptive Research Design, in order to obtain

information concerning the effectiveness of boys scout program of it. This design helps

provide answer to the question of who, where, what, when, how and the variables

according to the research problem of the study.

Research Subject

The research respondent or this study are the students in Don Sergio Osmena

Senior Memorial National High School. The respondents were composed of 15-18

students, where are only boys scout.

Research Locale

The research's limitation and the scope go beyond Don Sergio Osmeña Senior

Memorial National High School, Bliss Labangon Cebu City throughout the 2023–2024

academic year. This is the most practical the place for the researcher to work out the

research. The information being gathered will take place on the school's campus, and
the respondents will be coming from and getting to this school.

Sampling Procedure

The researchers chose the study's respondents by random sampling. 15 to 18

Boy Scouts as well as junior high school students made up the responses. To test the

hypothesis in the subproblems, the collected data will be computed using descriptive

statistics and Pearson.
