Reading of temperature in the oven

Appliances with capillary thermostat:

Thermostat sensor is not located in the centre of the oven so the temperature it reads can be higher or
lower than the temperature in the centre of the oven, depending on the heating system. Compensation of
the difference between sensor temperature and temperature in the centre of the oven is necessary.
Thermostat is adapted (optimized) for traditional heating system (top and bottom heater) and for fan system
with certain deviation.

Appliances with sensor PT1000:

Sensor PT1000 is not located in the centre of the oven so the temperature it reads can be higher or lower
than the temperature in the centre of the oven, depending on the heating system. Compensation of the
difference between sensor temperature and temperature in the centre of the oven is necessary.

Timer EPT TD has single compensation; reading of temperature is optimised for traditional heating system
(top and bottom heater) and fan system with certain deviation.

Timer EPT TD+ and EPM module have compensation of temperatures for each system separately.

Measuring of temperature in the oven:

orientation measurement of oven temperatures can be carried out at user’s. We need multimeter with
temperature sensor which shall be placed in the centre of the oven, approximately 2-3 cm above oven grid.
Measurement lasts approximately one hour i.e. until the temperature stabilizes – see diagram below. We can
measure the traditional cooking system at 200° C or fan system at 180° C. After stabilization, the
temperature oscillates by +/- 5% from the average value.
A – heating time in traditional mode of operation approx. 15 minutes
B – time of monitoring of temperature: approx. 30 minutes
C - 200° C – traditional mode
D - 180° C – hot air (fan)
