3. States
Below the possible states of the system are described.

3.1. System OFF

To enter in the OFF state keep pressed for 3 seconds the “set” key.
In this state all the components are switched off.
If the control is put in System OFF and the minimum ON time of the compressor is not yet
finished, first this time is completed. VC and Hot Gas Bypass (HGB), if enabled, continue to work
until the compressor stay ON. The pump in OFF turns off with a delay of POFD (Delay time of the
switching off pump not in alarm).
Also the alarms are not active, except level tank wrong phase.

3.2. System ON
To enter in ON state, it’s necessary to keep pressed for 3 seconds the “set” key from the OFF
state. Also the digital input for StandBy must be OFF.
In this state all the control work normally, except the antifreeze.
The alarms are active.

3.3. System StandBy

If it’s in ON state, the digital input for StandBy becomes ON, then StandBy starts.
In StandBy state all the components are switched off. Only the antifreeze control remains active;
also the alarms are not active.

High pressure alarm

If the compressor is ON and the digital input HP is ON, the alarm HP triggers, that stops the
compressor. If the alarm triggers 4 times in less than 3 hours, the alarm becomes with manual
reset. Otherwise it remains with automatic reset.

Low pressure alarm

If the compressor is ON and the digital input LP is ON, the alarm LP triggers, that stops the
compressor. If the alarm triggers 4 times in less than 3 hours, the alarm becomes with manual
reset. Otherwise it remains with automatic reset. The alarm LP can be inhibited at start for ALDS
seconds.

Flow alarm
If the pump is ON and the digital input FF is ON, FF alarm triggers if remains for AFFD time (Flow
alarm delay time) that stops the compressor immediately and the pump after AFPD (Delay time
of pump switching off from flow alarm). If the alarm triggers 4 times in less than 3 hours, the

alarm becomes with manual reset, Otherwise it remains with automatic reset.
For the automatic reset, the control tries to restart the pump after AFID (Reset time of flow alarm
in automatic mode) from the switching off of the pump. At the start, the flow alarm is hidden for
AFDS time (Flow alarm delay time from start).

Tank level wrong phase alarm

If the digital input tank level wrong phase is ON, the alarm is triggered, which is automatically
reset and stops everything instantly.

Cooling thermic alarm

If the control is in System ON and the digital input for compressor thermic is ON, the cooling
thermic alarm triggers, that has automatic reset and stops the compressor immediately.

Pump thermic alarm 2

If the control is in System ON and the digital input for the thermic of the pump is ON, the pump
thermic alarm triggers that has automatic reset and stops pump 2 immediately.

Flow 1 and flow 2 alarm

If the control is in System ON, the digital input FF1 is ON and AFF1 = 1, the alarm Flow 1 triggers
with a delay of AF1d seconds and it stops pump 1. The same thing happens with Flow 2 alarm,
that depends from the input FF2 and stops pump 2.

Antifreeze alarm
If the compressor is ON and the antifreeze temperature goes below AAFS value (Setpoint
Antifreeze alarm), the antifreeze alarm triggers that stops the compressor. The alarm remains
until the antifreeze temperature doesn’t go above AAFS + AAFH (Antifreeze alarm hysteresis).
The alarm has manual reset (press ESC for 3 seconds).

High temperature alarm

Parameters:
AHtS : High temperature alarm set point
AHtd : Delay time of high temperature alarm at start
AHtH : Hysteresis high temperature alarm
AHrH : High temperature alarm set in heating mode
ArHd : Delay time of high temperature alarm in heating mode
ArHH : Hysteresis high temperature alarm in heating mode

If the compressor is ON and the regulation temperature increases above the value AHtS, high
temperature alarm is triggered. The alarm remains until the regulation temperature goes below
AHtS – AHtH. The triggering of the alarm can be delayed from the commissioning of the system
of AHtd minutes. The alarm is automatically reset. In case of active heating mode the parameters
are dedicated (AHrH. ArHd, ArHH).

Low temperature alarm

Parameters:
ALtS : Low temperature alarm set point
ALtd : Delay time of low temperature alarm at start
ALtH : Hysteresis low temperature alarm
AHrL : Low temperature alarm set in heating mode
ArLd : Delay time of low temperature alarm in heating mode
ArLH : Hysteresis low temperature alarm in heating mode

If the compressor is ON and the regulation temperature goes below the value ALtS, low
temperature alarm is triggered. The alarm remains until the regulation temperature goes above
ALtS + ALtH. The triggering of the alarm can be delayed from the commissioning of the system
of ALtd minutes. The alarm is automatically reset. In case of active heating mode the parameters
are dedicated (AHrL. ArLd, ArLH).

Differential high temperature alarm

Parameters:
AHrt : Alarm set high differential temperature
Hrtd : Delay time of high differential temperature alarm at start
HrtH : Hysteresis of high differential temperature alarm

If AHrt > 0, when the supply temperature > ambient temperature + AHrt differential high
temperature alarm triggers. It’s inhibited for Hrtd minutes from unit starts. The alarm goes off
when the supply temperature returns < ambient temperature + AHrt – HrtH.

Differential low temperature alarm

Parameters:
ALrt : Alarm set low differential temperature
Lrtd : Delay time of low differential temperature alarm at start
LrtH : Hysteresis of low differential temperature alarm

Se ALrt < 0, when the supply temperature < ambient temperature + ALrt differential low
temperature alarm triggers. It’s inhibited for Lrtd minutes from unit starts. The alarm goes off
when the supply temperature returns > ambient temperature + ALrt + LrtH.

High temperature alarm of the secondary circuit

Parameters:
AHSC : High temperature alarm setpoint of the secondary circuit
HSCd : Delay time of high differential temperature alarm of the secondary circuit at start
HSCH : Hysteresis of high temperature alarm
If we are in System ON and the regulation temperature rises over the AHSC value, the high
temperature alarm of the secondary circuit triggers. The alarm remains until the regulation
temperature doesn’t go below AHSC – HSCH. Alarm intervention can be delayed from power ON
of the system of HSCd minutes. The alarm is automatically reset.

Low temperature alarm of the secondary circuit

Parameters:
ALSC : Low temperature alarm setpoint of the secondary circuit
LSCd : Delay time of low differential temperature alarm of the secondary circuit at start
LSCH : Hysteresis of low temperature alarm

If we are in System ON and the regulation temperature goes below the value ALSC, the low
temperature alarm of the secondary circuit triggers. The alarm remains until the regulation
temperature doesn’t go above ALSC + LSCH. Alarm intervention can be delayed from power ON
of the system of LSCd minutes. The alarm is automatically reset.

High differential temperature alarm of the secondary circuit

Parameters:
HrSC : Set of high temperature differential alarm of the secondary circuit

differential temperature of the secondary circuit triggers. It’s inhibited for LrSd minutes from unit
starts. The alarm goes off when secondary circuit temperature returns > ambient temperature +
LrSC + LrSH.

Antifreeze probe alarm

If the control is in System ON or in System StandBy and the antifreeze probe fails, the
compressor stops for antifreeze alarm (then with manual reset). The pump doesn’t work in
antifreeze mode, if the antifreeze probe is selected. The antifreeze resistance doesn’t work if the
antifreeze regulation probe selected is the antifreeze probe.

Ambient probe alarm

If the control is in System ON or in System StandBy and the ambient probe fails, the compressor
stops and then starts again at its own timing. The resistance and the pump in antifreeze mode
don’t work if the selected probe is the ambient probe.

Pressure transducer alarm

If the control is in System ON or in System StandBy and the pressure transducer fails, the
compressor stops.

Supply probe alarm

If the control is in System ON and the supply probe fails, the compressor stops. If the selected
antifreeze regulation probe is the supply probe, the heating resistance stops. In heating mode
the resistance doesn’t work.

Return probe alarm

If the control is in System ON or in System StandBy and the return probe fails, return probe alarm
exits. If the selected control probe for the antifreeze or preheating resistance is the return probe,
the resistance stops. If CPMt = 0 / 2 the compressor stops.

Secondary circuit probe alarm

If the control is in System ON and the secondary circuit probe fails, the modulation valve of the
secondary circuit stops.

Expansion alarm
If a function is parametrically active on the expansion and the communication between control
and expansion fails, the Expansion alarm is displayed. All the inputs of the expansion are not
considered.

System error alarm

System error alarm means that at control level something went wrong. It’ a very serious alarm. It
means that there is an error that implies control substitution for safety reasons.
