Selected company for this task from the list is Google. To analyse the impact of
Information system and cloud computing at Google, various sources of information are
cited.

On September 4, 1998, American computer scientists Larry Page and Sergey Brin
created Google when they were PhD students at Stanford University in California.

Google quickly became the world's most popular search engine. Google's success was
attributed in part to its revolutionary ranking algorithm, which was more effective than
other search engines at the time at returning accurate and relevant search results
(Wikipedia, 2023).

Cloud Computing

The phrase "cloud computing" refers to the provision of on-demand computing

resources, including hardware, storage, databases, networking, and software, to
organisations and individuals over a network (often the internet). Cloud computing
allows businesses to access and store data without having to manage their own
physical devices or IT infrastructure (Cloud Computing, 2023).
Cloud computing gets its name from the fact that the information being accessed is
located remotely in the cloud or a virtual area. Cloud service providers allow users to
store files and apps on remote servers and then access the material via the Internet.
This means that the user does not need to be in a certain location to obtain access to it,
allowing them to work remotely (Frankenfield, 2023).

Cloud Services

 Data Analysis
 Email
 Data storage, retrieval and back up
 App Testing

There are three types of cloud computing at Google

 SaaS (Software as a Service)

 IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
 PaaS (Platform as a Service)

Along with Google following giants are providing cloud services including Amazon AWS,
Microsoft Azure, IBM, and Alibaba.

Advantages of Cloud

With the cloud, information moves quickly in both directions across computing systems
that are significantly more versatile, thanks to features like virtualization, scaling up or
down to handle larger workloads, or automated security patching across thousands of
workstations. This will almost certainly imply a more flexible work structure in the
interest of products and services that can be altered to anticipate client wants. Rapid
data gathering and analysis, followed by over-the-air modifications to product software,
are critical components of the new approach (Hardy, 2018).

Sales data analysis

The total sales for the two months are £16181.7. The blinder had the highest sales,
followed by central region.

Item sales
The most popular item sold was the binder, followed by the pencil and then the pen set.
The desk was the least popular item sold.

Branch sales

The central branch had the highest sales for both binder and pencil pen set. The East
branch had the highest sales for pen.

Month-over-month sales
Sales for all three branches increased in the second month. The Central branch had the
biggest increase in sales, followed by the East branch and then the West branch.

Insight
The data in the table provides a number of insights into the performance of the
stationary store. For example, the data shows that the bindle is the most popular item
sold, and that the central branch is the most successful branch.

The data also shows that sales are increasing over time. This is a positive sign for the
stationary store, as it suggests that the store is growing and that its products are in
demand.

Here are some additional insights that can be drawn from the data:
 The Central branch is the most important branch of the furniture store, as it
accounts for the highest sales. The store should focus on maintaining and
improving the performance of this branch.

 The Binder is the most important product to the stationary store, as it accounts
for the highest sales. The store should focus on promoting this product and
ensuring that it is always in stock.

 The desk is the least important product to the stationary store, as it accounts for
the lowest sales. The store may want to consider reducing the price of this
product or discontinuing it altogether.

 Sales are increasing over time, which is a positive sign for the stationary store.
The store should continue to invest in marketing and advertising to further
increase sales.

Recommendations
Based on the insights from the data, here are some recommendations for the furniture
store:

 Focus on maintaining and improving the performance of the Central branch.

 Promote the binder product and ensure that it is always in stock.

 Consider reducing the price of the desk product or discontinuing it altogether.

 Continue to invest in marketing and advertising to further increase sales.

In addition to these recommendations, the furniture store may also want to consider the
following:

 Offering discounts and promotions to attract new customers and encourage

repeat business.

 Improving the customer experience by providing excellent customer service and

making it easy for customers to shop and return products.

 Expanding the product range to include more popular items, such as diaries and
coloring books.

By following these recommendations, the stationary store can improve its performance
and increase its sales.
