Methods universities should apply to reduce student’s stress

during exam period.

We live in an age where university students and pupils have exams continuously. Preparing for
these tests requires a lot of time and can lead student to suffer from stress and feel
overwhelmed. These issues affect scholars’ mental health and increase universities dropout
rate. Some basic ideas can solve these problems. In this essay I will consider and discuss two of
them.

It is a fact that we have a limited hours in a day, so organising students time is extremely
important to pass all the exams. A structured timetable the week before tests can be a critical
to review different subjects. This idea seems to be up to students, but universities and schools
decide when the exams will be. They can ensure there will be at least three days from one test
until following.

Spending all the time studying does not mean passing a test or even achieving knowledge. If
pupils can not rest and dedicate time to what they like, they will fail the tests. Universities and
schools should organise activities like sports or music, to offer students high quality leisure
time. In fact, activities like sports are a method to disconnect from school pressure and
develop new skills. This has been proved to be beneficial for mental health and pupils learning.

To summarise, I think the best approach is having a timetable to dedicate time to study and
relaxing activities. In this way students can pass exams and avoid stressful situations.
