GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS

It is important to recognize that the online classroom is in fact similar to a real

classroom. Students need to attend the class in formal attire. Attendance is
mandatory and it will be taken daily in each and every period by the respective
subject teacher. Also, certain netiquettes are expected from students when online.

➢ Discipline is the watchword. If indiscipline is noticed, the teacher will share

his/her concerns with the parents. If the student doesn't show any change in
his/her demeanor , the student will be suspended from online classes for a
week.
➢ Avoid taking pictures or recordings of the session without teachers
permission.
➢ Adhere to Cyber safety rules and do not indulge in posting/sharing any
content which is inappropriate or may cause disruption of the session and that
may land you into trouble.
➢ Please stay focussed and avoid any other kind of distractions during the
session.
➢ The Coordinator and HOD may enter into any class and observe the behavior
of students.
➢ For a good online experience with Entrar Live classes use a laptop/desktop/tab
and keep the devices charged.
➢ Avoid logging in with multiple devices at the same time.
➢ Refrain from sharing your Entrar username and password.

➢ If more than one login with the same Id is found, then action will be taken.
➢ Make sure you are seated comfortably and place the equipment in the area
where network connectivity is good.
➢ Make sure lighting is proper and there is no background noise.
➢ Keep all the study materials required ready for each session.
➢ Refrain from eating or moving around during the session.
➢ Log in and Join the meeting 5 Minutes before the scheduled time.
➢ Wait until the session is started by the teacher.
➢ Be punctual, so that teaching can happen without any unnecessary
intervention.
➢ Make sure the audio and video settings are proper before the start of the class.
➢ Before your online class begins, you are asked whether you would want to
access the audio through the microphone or just listen. Please click on the
microphone button and ensure that you have unmuted yourself before
speaking. In case you have chosen to listen, you will only be able to listen to
the lecture and will not be able to speak.
➢ In case you have chosen to listen and you want to speak please refresh the
page and choose the microphone option

➢ if you are still not audible after allowing the microphone:

Click on Chrome settings, then security and privacy settings, and under the
microphone option make sure to check the box Ask before accessing.
Once this is done, please refresh the page and then click on the microphone
button.

➢ Kindly disable the video and mute the audio initially.

➢ To avoid any kind of background noise the teacher will put all the students
on mute, the student can unmute themself to ask a query or can set the
status(raise hand, confused, undecided… etc ) anytime during the class.
➢ Due to power failure or network issues if the teachers gets logged out kindly
remain logged in and wait for the teacher to join the meeting.
➢ Entrar strongly recommends using broadband while using Entrar Live since
your mobile hotspot data is subject to data caps. Thus once you have crossed
your daily data allowance, you will encounter connectivity and speed issues
during your online session.
➢ Entrar recommends using Google Chrome or (Safari and Firefox) for the best
experience since they do not currently support Internet Explorer.
➢ Public chat option should be used wisely.
➢ You can access online classes through the entrar application on your
