This study aimed to determine the feasibility and profitability of the

Establishment of Taiwanese food business in Binangonan, Rizal. Taiwanese

Food House is the name of the business, and the business will offer two delicious

and affordable Taiwanese dishes. The menu will consist of Taiwanese Chicken

Popcorn, a popular street snack in Taiwan featuring savory bites of super crispy

chicken seasoned with Chinese five spice and fried basil and Taiwanese Pork

over Rice (Lu Rou Fan), a Taiwanese comfort food comprised of slow-braised

pork belly

vi
over rice. The proponents conducted this study in the locale of Binangonan Rizal

during the academic year 2022–2023.

The business will be registered as a sole proprietorship under the name of

Jonalyn Gruta with one employee only since the business is still on its starting

stage. The starting capital investment of the business is ₱80,000 to be provided

by the proponents. This starting fund will be used to acquire necessary

documents before it is allowed to operate as well as the tools equipment and

other investments that is needed to start the business and the excess will be

used as the business’ working capital.

The business conducted a survey to 100 respondents and the answers of

the respondents revealed that there will be enough demand for each of the two

(2) products. The supply situation of the products were revealed that there are no

same product yet at the market but there are still similar products that can be

considered as an alternative. The two products which are the Taiwanese chicken

popcorn and Taiwanese pork over rice will be priced using value based pricing

and will be utilizing social media, tarpaulins, leaflets and other promotional

methods to market the products.

Taiwanese Chicken Popcorn are bite sized pieces of fried chicken that is

double-coated with tapioca starch and Taiwanese Pork over rice is a type of rice

bowl dish topped with pork belly that is cooked in a Taiwanese style and

hardboiled egg. The business will be operating from Monday to Friday and are

Business Clearance, Mayor’s Business Permit, and DTI registration.

Once the business has done utilizing the 80,000 for investment allocation

of the business, there will be 47,273 that is left as the business’ initial month

working capital. After using the projected schedules to generate a projected

financial statements for the next 5 years, Financial Analysis such as Return on

Investment, Return on Assets and Gross Profit margin revealed that the business

will be in a sound financial situation. Projected return on Investment were

271.59% on the business’ first year, Return on total assets were 73.01% on its

first year and the Gross profit margin on its first year were 31.69%.

The Business will have different contributions to different sectors of the

community such as government revenue through the payments for the

acquisition of the legal requirements, growth of the food industry by introducing a

food that originated from other country, and to the Philippine household and

workforce as the business will require more workforce the more it grows.
