ONLINE ORIENTATION – WORKSHOP ON TEMPLATES IN
NUMERACY ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING

TIN- AR stands for Template in Numeracy Assessments and Reporting. The

Templates is a series of automated spreadsheets that speeds up the consolidation of Project
All Numerates results. It consists of various salient features that can help teachers in
interpreting class numeracy level at hand. It is electronic, generating a summary of results
upon encoding. Thus, it makes computational tasks quick and easy. It is an information tool
designed to be a basis for numeracy assessment reports to monitor the progress and
performance of pupils in mathematics.

Using the templates, the teachers can identify the entire schools’ numeracy
need based on the following components:
1. reading and writing skills,
2. computational skills,
3. problem-solving skills, and the
4. four fundamental operations (4Fs).

This will help teachers to easily identify automatically the non- numerates,
nearly numerates and numerates pupils.

Hence, Templates in Numeracy Assessment and Reporting (TIN-AR) shall be an

evidence in communicating numeracy status of pupils readily available for teachers access
towards the selection of appropriate intervention to address learner’s math learning gaps
and needs.
