Advice and

suggestions
There are many ways to give advice and make suggestions depending on the
speaker’s relationship with the person he or she is talking to, as well as the type of
advice that is given.

Should is a modal verb and is used to
advise, give opinion and reccommend.
As any modal verb, the verb form after
should is the base form of the verb.

Modal verb Could

Could is another modal verb. It is also used to suggest in the present tense. In this case, can
is not used to give advice.

Example:

You could borrow your dad’s hat.

We could go for a drink before the concert.

You need to wear warm clothes.
