refundable commencement fee of USD 2, 000 to secure your place by July 10, 2020. Please

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF OFFER FOR PARENT/GUARDIAN

1. Legal Entity: ‘Alcanta International College’, ‘AIC’, ‘亚加达国际预科’ and ‘亚加达教育机构国际预


科 部’ all refer to the same legal entity. AIC is a part of ‘ 广州市南沙区亚加达培训学校有限公司’
2. Parent/Guardian Consent: Either parent or guardian listed as the emergency contact in the
Admissions Form can give consent or approval for a course of action on behalf of either parent or
guardian should it not be possible to contact both parent or guardian. Should the parent/guardian listed
be unavailable in case of illness or emergencies, AIC staff is authorised to make judgement on the best
course of action for the health, welfare and safety of the student.

3. Disclosure: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to declare to AIC all physical, medical,
behavioural and emotional issues which may affect the student’s performance at AIC. Failure to fully
disclose such information may result in AIC being inadequately prepared to support the student.

4. Insurance: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that the student has adequate
health and accident insurance. AIC is unable to provide accident or medical insurance for students
and does not carry insurance that covers the loss of or damage to personal possessions.

5. Liability: Recognizing that the curricular and co-curricular programmes of AIC will include trips away
from the College campus, parent/guardian absolve AIC and all members of AIC staff from
responsibility in the event of accident or injury involving a student during the course of such trips,
except where it can be demonstrated that there has been gross negligence on the part of AIC and/or
members of AIC staff.

6. Medical Expenses: Parent/guardian must ensure that the student’s medical insurance covers all medical
expenses arising from accidents within the school premises or on school trips, or cover those expenses
themselves. AIC will not cover any student medical expenses.

7. AIC Rules and Policies: The student will abide by AIC rules and policies as outlined in the Student
Handbook and Boarding Handbook. Should the student fail to comply with these rules and policies,
disciplinary action will be taken accordingly.

1. I agree that I will conduct myself in a manner that is consistent with the values and mission of
Alcanta International College, as well as abide by the rules and regulations stated in the Student
Handbook and Boarding Handbook.
2. I agree that I will inform myself and comply with the requirements of study at all time.
3. I agree to access all information and read the emails delivered to my College-assigned email
address at least once a week.
4. I acknowledge that Alcanta International College will use electronic communication methods to
deliver information relevant to my studies, personal safety, and so on. I consent to the sending and
receiving of electronic messages for the purposes of any corresponding regulations.
5. I acknowledge and agree that Alcanta International College can publish information on any
awards and prizes I have been awarded and, where appropriate, the results of my program of
study.
6. I acknowledge and agree that Alcanta International College can publish photos and videos taken
of me on any promotional materials for marketing and branding purposes.
7. I acknowledge that Alcanta International College assumes that the information provided by me to
support my application for admission is accurate and true and the provision of false information or
lack of disclosure may lead to the cancellation of my enrolment and that the college will report any
such activity to the relevant authority.
8. I acknowledge that the fees quoted for the intake referred to in the letter of offer is accurate as of the
date of this letter and apply only for the duration of the program offered to the student.
9. I acknowledge that all fees quoted in this letter are accurate as of the time of offer. I further
acknowledge that Alcanta International College reviews tuition fees annually and reserves the
right to increase tuition fees. Information on the applicable tuition fee and estimated yearly fees
payable is available before enrolment.
10. I acknowledge that I have full responsibility to obtain adequate health and accident insurance on
my own for the duration that I am enrolled at Alcanta International College.
11. I acknowledge and agree that should I enroll in a study period, I will be required to pay the fees
for that particular study period in full and upfront by the commencement date.
12. I agree to provide Alcanta International College with details of my residential address within 7
days of arriving within China (only applicable to international students) and to notify the college
of any changes to my residential address for the duration of my study.
13. I agree that if I am unable to continue with my enrollment in this program, I will notify the
Admissions Office and complete the process of withdrawal.
