Program Overview

The HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Programme is the world’s largest undergraduate-level business
case programme that aims at enhancing the traditional strengths of the case-study method of teaching by moving the
Context business case from classroom to a global competition format. HSBC India organizes HSBC India Business Case
Programme (HIBCP) with the intent of identifying and training the best teams to represent India at the
HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Programme each year.

Free access to e-learning modules will be provided to all penultimate and final year
undergraduate students of participating colleges
This will be a self-paced, digital learning platform designed to equip penultimate and final year students of all participating colleges with
21st century skills, thus enabling them to make a smooth transition to the professional world

The first level of screening will be a standardised online test to remove any
subjectivity and selection bias in the college round
The online test will be a team-based, auto-scored type of assessment that will be rolled out to all participating colleges in order to select
the best team from each college for the regional round

II. Regional Round
The main intent behind organising the regional workshops is to bring the participants
in one room and create a knowledge stimulating environment
The regional bootcamp will be an in-person, live classroom teaching session that will provide students with a holistic framework for case
study solving, while also fostering network-building among the participants

The regional competition will follow a rigorous process involving two different
rounds to trim the number of teams from a total of 100 to 12 teams for the

III. National Round
The HIBCP will culminate in National semi-finals and Final in Mumbai with students
presenting their cases to senior industry leaders from business and academia.
2 teams will ultimately be selected to represent HSBC India at the APAC competition.
