    The Outer Hebrides have been occupied for thousands of years and they contain a rich prehistoric and historic legacy. Much of the past remains are focussed around the coastal edges, under the sea and in lochs. Due to rising sea-levels and the power of the sea, coastal and marine archaeology is at risk of being lost. This project aims to enhance the archaeological records of the Outer Hebrides, with special focus on coastal and marine areas. The project aims to enable local people to share knowledge, develop research, inform management plans, and enjoy the rich coastal and marine heritage of the Outer Hebrides.
