September 21, 2023 - First formal club meeting on the new year. Mostly about
our aspiring goals for the clubs and setting in stone certain goals we have for the
course of this school year (Nicole and Vincent speakers)

September 28, 2023 - Second meeting discussing possible open houses for earlier
on than last year to possibly attract new members to show interest in the club.
Topics are still uncertain but we currently have an open discussion using our
classroom under the stream tab posted on Sep 15 to write any possible ideas for
an open house. (Vincent speaker)

October 5, 2023 - meeting to determine who could volunteer to represent on


behalf of the club to recruit new members. Club fair ideas for our club and trying
to promote the club by any means possible. Election for the secretary position.
(Nicole and Vincett both speakers)

October 6, 2023 - Club Fair Day To be expected results most students didn’t
show a true interest in the geopolitical focus of the club but thanks to our
amazing representatives we may have recruited some new members overall we
do have many in the Google classroom but that doesn’t always translate into a
good club member.

October 12, 2023 - explaining the premise behind the Model UN club to the new
club fair member. Understanding the fundamentals of the club. Model UN is
about going to schools for these models (events where we the club dress up
and you participate according to the country we are given by the hosts at
random.) The countries that are assigned can vary from Malaysia to China and
the US. The members are made to act as part of their country and understand
the blocks that each country would be in. Discussing the open house that the
club will be hosting (To be determined) data and topic at this time. The open
house is leaning towards the topic of the Salem witch trials on Friday, October
27. Note for the Spanish speakers you can get someone who could translate
your thoughts and be considered a team. Start time 3:07 Meeting adjourned at

October 19, 2023 - The meeting started at 3:07 starting goal of confirming
the Salem witch trials as the open house topic for the 27 of october
deciding on what characters via a random wheel and names. Overall
character types Accused, def. Lawyers, Judges, WItnesses. Please check
the doc with your assigned characters if you may have forgotten your
assigned character It ends at 4:10

October 23, 2023 - The Open house has been postponed to Monday the
30th due to the conflict of the debate team hosting a competition and
the schedules will have to be rearranged accordingly.

October 26, 2023 - The finer details have been settled and the character
selection was mostly finalized after an overall brief meeting. Nothing much
was said besides assigning characters and then proceeding to decide
who would defend each accused. Final questions asked (Speaker Nicole,
Vincett, Alan)

October 30, 2023 - First In house for the new year took place. Details over
the Salem witch trials. Where reviewed before starting the in-house. The
in-house itself was a success and the town of Salem’s future is unknown
and not bright. The witches gained the majority and decided to take over
the town.

November 2, 2023 - Addressing the in-house we had whether or not


everyone enjoyed it or not final remarks towards the in-house “election of
the new roles” A Better word would be simply be appoint those who
wanted the new officer roles. Helen appointed the visual comms. Officer
alongside Hesyer as the appointed marketing officer. Proceed to practice
improv speeches on a randomly selected topic. (Vincent's idea) All the

practice speeches where great everyone ended up speaking in front of
