PREAMBLE

2. IDENTIFICATION OF EMERGENCIES
Major accident like serious injury to personnel, vehicle
1 accident fall from height, electrical shock, food poisoning,
etc.
Fire / explosion: inside nacelle, in control room, in H.T.
2
yard, in LPG gas bank or in any building at site.
Emergency condition at height: person gets fainted in
3 nacelle or hub or ladder or on tower. Hanging on belt at
height. Trapped inside nacelle or hub.
Natural calamity like cyclone, earthquake, flood, lightning,

etc.
Accident due to conditions beyond control of SWSL

10. After bringing the situations under control, consult Shift In-
charge, Security Supervisor, Administration Co-ordinator and give
instructions for “All Clear” signal (intermittent sound).

7. After situation is under control, Collect feed back from Site In-
Charge & pass on information to Head.

2. Execute the instructions received (if any) from the Director, and
advise the Site Head accordingly.

Emergency intimation will be given to State Head with these categories. This will
help to assess level of severity of the emergency & also to decide level of passing
information to top management.

INTRODUCTION:
Fire hazard is divided in to two broad categories.
a. WTG related fire
b. Other than WTG fire
4. In case of electrical fire, first cut OFF the electrical supply. Cut
off points are displayed on site lay out. Indicator boards are also
displayed on location.

LPG FIRE
INTRODUCTION:
LPG has a wide explosive range. Even a small leakage of LPG,
on contact with a spark, can lead to an explosion. The manner in
which an LPG cylinder may burn depends upon the location, size of
the leak and the pressure within the cylinder.

11. Never use more than one big burner on one cylinder.

6. Put plastic cap on valve. Plastic protection cap can stop leakage
of the valve.
7. If a small flame is seen on the cylinder, then extinguish it with

Initially lift the victim through rescue kit to load his weight on
rescue kit. After then we will remove his secondary
attachments.
Finally descend the victim through rescue kit safely.

INTRODUCTION
1. Assemble all persons at site at Assembly point or any other safe place.
2. Contact trained first-aider available at site.
3. Contact vehicle to shift injured person for medical treatment. Call for ambulance
if vehicle is not available.
4. Inform nearest Doctor, Hospital about disaster so that he will be ready for
treatment in advance.
5. Keep Petty cash for emergency situation.
6. Provide basic information like Blood Group, allergies to medicine, medical
history to the Doctor for advance preparation.
7. Seek help from Head office & apprise MD / Head-HSE about Site status
through O&M Head.
8. Remain in constant touch with whether bureau, Collector office to have latest
information on calamity.

The majority of snake bites are not venomous, but because patients go into a
state of panic they put themselves at risk of severe danger. Panicking also
increases the heart rate and would circulate the venom faster in the body.
Don’t pick up the snake or kill it, as this will increase your chance of getting
bitten again. Even dead snakes can bite.

First Aid
First aid boxes are available at all important locations & four
wheeler vehicles. The stock of First Aid material can be replenished
through stores regularly. Two employees of Administration
Department are responsible for maintaining first aid boxes.
Frequency for checking first aid box is once in a month. In addition to
this a well-equipped portable First-Aid box is readily available in ECC
during emergency.
Rescue
Government hospital is available near Main Office (Admin
Office) and all sites for safe & quick rescue of affected personnel.
Any other vehicle available at site could be used for emergency.

Internal Communication
The internal communication is effected through mobile
phones at Site between Site and Admin Office. Wireless handsets
are also provided for mobile communication between different
locations.

The assembly point is located near the easy exit area of all sites and all
employees shall assemble at the assembly point in case of emergencies.
The Site Supervisor shall report the status of the assembled persons to the
Site-In-charge.
