INTRODUCTION

We, at Enactus Miranda House, identified a community of women in Jharoda village in North
Delhi, who had lost their livelihood due to the pandemic, and were completely helpless.

2. Problem:
We aim to tackle the issue of the growing usage of single-use plastic in today's world. To
combat this, we launched project Dharang [next section starts - abt tote bags]

3. PRODUCTION
Our beneficiaries conduct the manufacturing all by themselves including cutting, stitching,
painting and assembly of the tote bag. Our tote bags are made of scrap and waste cloth items,
which are purchased wholesale, making the production process cost-effective and sustainable.

Sustainable Goals achieved by Project Dharang are as follows: SDG no. 1,5,8,9,10,12,17

SALE
With a B2B and B2C business plan, our profits are from setting up stalls and selling online.
We're also in talks with prime brands like Max and Fabindia and plan to set up our e-commerce
website for more traction.

Economic Impact and Future Vision:

With a sale of over 150 bags we bag a profit of 400%, we plan to implement bulk production to
bring down our cost to increase profits by 600%
Each woman will be positively impacted by receiving roughly 1 lakh as remuneration each year.
