Video Lesson
In line with Deped Order no. 18 s, 2020 Policy Guidelines for the Provision of the Learning
Resources in the Implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan. The public health
emergency brought about by COVID-19 calls for the Department of Education (DepEd) to be
innovative and resourceful in delivering the quality, accessible, relevant and liberating Education.
DepEd developed the (BE-LCP) to ensure that learning opportunities are provided to our learners in a
safe manner, through different learning modality.
Committed to widening the access to education despite the pandemic, the Department of
Education (DepEd) secured an ally in the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) to support
television and radio-based learning delivery for the upcoming school year. The Department is set to
implement a blended learning approach as face-to-face classes are still prohibited, with TV and radio-
based instruction being one of the three main set-ups with modular and online learning as the other
two options.
As part our LCP planning in Ibabang Iyam Elementary School our school has come up with
the different school projects and one of it is the Project S.I.G.N.A.L Sa Iisang Galaw Natin, Aralin ay
Lilinangin. This project has been created for our school to be part of our Schools Division project
TeleDunong.
This was a great help for Ibabang Iyam learners who need guidance in answering their
modules since Cable TV can now serve the education community through DepEd TV and
TeleDunong episodes. This also ensures that all learners have access on watching DepEd TV and
TeleDunong episodes with this, it helps to shape the interest of these young minds with specific topics
airing from these educational shows and to encourage parents to engage children about television
programs that can serve also as a means of modality of educating young minds.
We started this project last September 13, 2021 were printed modular is the only learning
modality that our school can offered, yet still we wanted to get in touch with our learners so we may
be able to know there needs, because our school’s performance based on last year’s quarterly report
are decreasing, these is the main reason why we come up to this project. We put up three areas in
Ibabang Iyam were the greatest number of our learners are there. This are Purok Masagana, Purok
Lilay and Purok Talabis. We assure to visit them at least once or twice a week, we put up school TV’s
and let them watch the different teledunong episodes. Then afterwards will give them activities based
on what they have watched to assess if they really understand or learn something. As we continue to
visit them weekly we able to see some of the problem such as, problem with the internet connection
most of time. We visited once or twice a week and we are not able to assess all grade levels because
of our availability of coming to the three areas, to resolve these problems we came up to another
project, Project VL video lesson.

Project VL or video lesson started last November 15, 2021. This project is conducted as
supplementary program for the current situation of education today and as a partner program for
project SIGNAL. It will be a great help for the parents who are teaching their child and the learners
himself in learning some complicated lessons. This project is teacher-initiated video lessons. The
teachers provided video lesson based on the least mastered skills which are also based on the result of
pretest. The self-made video lessons were aired on areas with poor internet connection and areas that
have many our pupils based on the teacher’s surveys. These are aired on the given schedule attached
to the activity design. Each teacher is required to do their video lesson and be present during the airing
of there lesson so they can accommodate the learners who have questions or clarification regarding
with the lesson that is being discussed.
As of today, Ibabang Iyam teachers are continue with these school project, the project
SIGNAL and project VL even our school started offering with the limited face to face, we make sure
that we may be able to cater other learners with the help of this projects.
We can say that these projects give us the opportunity to bring quality education in our own
little way. The school is also grateful for the support shown by the School Principal Mr. Jefferson R.
Alojado.
