THE LEGEND OF COLOUR LAKE

SCENE 1
Once upon a time, in West Java there is a kingdom called the Kutatanggeuhan kingdom
which was led by a wise king, namely. King Suwartalaya and Queen Purbamanah. The people
live in peace, prosperity, tranquility, peace and prosperity. However, unfortunately, King
Suwartalaya and Queen Purbamanah were not blessed with a child. So, this became a concern
for King Suwartalaya and Queen Purbamanah.
Queen Purbamanah : "(was gloomy and crying)"
King Suwartalaya : “Don’t think about it, Queen. Don’t be sad and cry all the time.
If you keep being sad like this, i’ll be sad too."
Queen Purbamanah : “How can I not be sad, we've been together for years
but has not been blessed with a child."

Queen Purbamanah. : “No! I don't want to have an adopted child."

SCENE 2
After 9 months of the Queen's pregnancy, the Queen gave birth to a very beautiful
daughter. All the people flocked to congratulate and give gifts to the Princess.
Queen Purbamanah. : (holding a baby)
King Suwartalaya. : “Our daughter is beautiful, queen. And she looks really cute.”

child."

SCENE 3
Happines is not only belong to the Royal Family, the people were also happy to hear the
news. Unfortunately, Gilang Rukmini was not looked after well by Prabu Suwartalaya and
Ratu Purbamanah. Gilang grew up to be a spoiled girl with bad qualities. He does not hesitate
to speak harshly to get what she wants. Even so, both King Suwartalaya, Queen Purbamanah,
and the people loved her very much.
Gilang Rukmini. : "Mom, i don’t like that dress!"

Queen Purbamanah. : (sighs and leaves with a sad face)

Gilang Rukmini. : “Finally my mother left . I’m tired of hearing everything
she say. If my mother comes, don’t open the door for her. Because all
day i don’t want to see her, I want to stay in the room so she doesn’t
force me.”
Advisor :"I'm sorry princess, but what if the queen gets angry?” (scared tone)
Gilang Rukmini. : "Just obey my words!"
Advisor. : "But princess, I'm afraid if..."
Gilang Rukmini. : (cutting off the conversation) “Shut up! If you don't obey my orders,
it means you are not afraid of me and that means I have to expel you
from the kingdom!” (points to Advisor)
Advisor. : "I’m sorry princess, forgive me."
Gilang Rukmini. : (Princess left the advisor who was very sad because of the Princess'
behavior.)

SCENE 4
In a few days, Princess will be 17 years old. The people coming to the palace. They
brought various very beautiful gifts. Prabu collected the many gifts, then stored them in the
palace room. Prabu took some gold and jewels and went to the jeweler's place.
King Suwartalaya. : "Knock knock knock... excuse me"
Jeweller. : (opens the door, then surprised) “Your Majesty? Come on, please
come in."
King Suwartalaya : “Yes thank you."
Jeweller : “What is your need for coming here? Is there anything I can do to
help you?
King Suwartalaya. : “I want to ask for help. Can you make the most beautiful necklace for
my beloved daughter's birthday present?”
Jeweller. : “Of course, your najesty. I will be happy to make this necklace to be
 the most beautiful necklace for the King’s daughter. Please wait,
I’ll do it right away

(A few moments later, the necklace was finished...)

Jeweller : "This is your Majesty, the necklace has been made."

King Suwartalaya. : "Wow, this is the most beautiful necklace i have ever seen. You did it
really well.”
Jeweller. : "Thank you Your Majesty for the princess. I always do my best"
The jeweler then worked as best he could, with all his heart. He wanted to create the
most beautiful necklace in the world, because she really loved the King's daughter.

SCENE 5
Finally the long awaited day has arrived. Everyone came to the party. Not a single
person wanted to miss the grandest party. The royal entourage had arrived at the square. All
people's eyes were focused on the princess. The people were very happy to welcome him.
The princess's birthday party has begin. As usual, the king started by thanking all his people.
People : (screaming and clapping) “Horrayy!! Horray!! Horrayy!!! The King
and Queen has come!”
Person 1. : “Wow, she is very beautiful, isn’t it?”

( Prabu then rise from his seat. He was holding a beautiful necklace. Then.....)

King Suwartalaya. : “My princess Gilang Rukmini, today is your birthday.

Seventeenth years.”
Gilang Rukmini : "Yes father, I hope for the most beautiful gift on my seventeenth
birthday this year."
Queen Purbamanah. : “Happy birthday my daughter."
Gilang Rukmini : “Yes mother..."
King Suwartalaya. : “My princess, i have prepared the most beautiful gift

(King Suwartalaya immediately gave the necklace to his daughter, Princess accepted the
necklace. Then she glanced at the necklace. Then...)

Gilang Rukmini. : "Aaahh!! What is this necklace?! This necklace is ugly! I don’t want
to wear it” (Throwing a necklace)
Person 2. : “Haaahhh??? The beautiful necklace made of gold and jewels was
thrown away by the princess. I really didn't expect your majesty's
daughter to do something like that.”
Beautiful necklace was broken. The gold and jewels were scattered on the floor. All
the people present were shocked. Queen Purbamanah cried seeing her daughter's behavior.
The people also cried when they saw Queen Purbumanah crying. Finally, everyone shed
tears. Suddenly a spring appeared from the courtyard of the palace, the water came out very
fast and became more and more abundant

a very large lake and submerged the entire palace. By local people, the lake is called "Telaga
Warna". The lake is in the peak area. On a clear day, we can see the lake full of beautiful and
amazing colors. The colors comes from the shadows of the forest, plants, flowers and sky
around the lake. However, people say that the colors come from the Princess's necklace
which is scattered at the bottom of the lake.
