7. Executive summary
This Technical Support Note provides guidelines and instructions on how to use the FSMF
reset button in various scenarios. The reset button can be used to restart the unit, to clear
the local account and configuration data as well as to remove the system module role.
8. Detailed description

Note:
Please, disconnect Ethernet cable from LMP port in the extension system module
connected to the master system module. The connected Ethernet cable may prevent
the extension module role from being assumed.

BTS service account settings (toor4nsn) are not changed by the reset procedure.
8.4 Restrictions
The reset button functionality does not work in FL16A / FL17SP and FL17A.

9. FSMF reconfiguration
2 Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds: Long press.
After releasing the button, the color of STATUS LED changes to yellow.

Step result
Within 2 minutes, the color of STATUS LED changes from yellow to red for a few
seconds and, then, back to yellow. See the figures:

3 To finalize the procedure, hard restart the system module with Quick press of the
reset button. This is required to re-enable local connection to the FSMF.
4 The site will require recommissioning after Long press. The BTS Site is returned to a
factory state.
