AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.1, SECTION 12.1, AND SECTION 12.2

OF MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 2023-16-011, ENTITLED: “AN ORDINANCE
CHARGING TOURISM ECOLOGICAL FEE TO ALL MAASIM BOUND GUESTS
AND TOURISTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAASIM, SARANGANI PROVINCE
AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.”

BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maasim, Sarangani Province in

session that:

Section 1. This Ordinance shall be known and cited as “An Amendatory Ordinance to
Ordinance No. 2023-16-011”.

Section 2. Amendments. – The following sections of Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-16-011

is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 9.1 – The share of 10% of gross collection shall accrue to the tourism
office shall be used for administrative expenses such as printing of tickets and token,
salaries of personnel, production of IEC materials, office supplies, tourism brochures,
and establishment of tourism office.

Section 12.1 – Any person who refuses to pay the Tourism Ecological Fee
shall be reprimanded by rendering a minimum of two (2) hours community service.

Section 12.2 – Misrepresentation of one’s identity, residency and the like in

order to avoid payment of the fee shall be reprimanded by rendering a two (2) hours
community service and a fine of five hundred pesos (Php500).

Section 3. Repealing Clause. – All local ordinances, rules and regulation or part thereof that
are inconsistent with the provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed or modified
accordingly.

Section 4. Effectivity. – This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval
