Dutch Vocabulary 3
Thank You!
Thank you for downloading our vocabulary sheets! As someone who is a total language addict (I speak eight
languages and am currently learning my ninth), I love it when people express an interest in learning languages.
Self-study is a crucial part of language learning, but I know from experience that it's not enough. Self-study alone
deprives you of a critical feedback loop you need to really advance conversationally.
If you've been exclusively using self-study techniques, you probably feel frustrated that:
• you always feel tongue-tied in real conversations even after you've studied a lot on your own
• you find it hard to sustain your motivation and sometimes go for weeks, months or years without
studying because you've lost interest
The surprising thing for me is that people who have learned a musical instrument like the piano know that
without a teacher to:
…the exact same thing would happen: you'd either continue reinforcing bad errors and not progressing, or else
would lose interest and give up.
In this Golden Age of Technology, online language instruction is the next best thing to living in the country and
can give you all of the above benefits, plus the added benefits of socializing with someone in a different country
and learning about their culture. Online language instruction has changed my life: I'm not exaggerating. I've not
only achieved fluency in many languages, I've also made dear friends that I've visited in their native countries.
