How to upgrade Firmware for LOM (Lights

Out Management)?

Read this to learn about checking the default IP address of the LOM on 13800 and 12400 Checkpoint appliances.

This guide explains how to check the running rmware on LOM and procedure to upgrade new rmware.

Checking the current Firmware revision

Access LOM IP in a browser via Https. It should display the current rmware version under the Dashboard.

Navigate to Firmware Upgrade

Checkpoint recommends to select below option to preserve all con guration.

Enter Update Mode – Choose Upgrade File

It’s a good idea to close the active connection before the upgrade. The update process will close the connection anyway.

Choose le and upload. It will display below status message.

Wait for a minute till LOM card boots. Access again and verify the Firmware revision number.
