Skills The skills that I have in Journalism is that I self taught myself by running
my own Rugby League pages since 2020 with Rugby League Daily and
WireBible before getting onto work experience with Warrington
Wolves Academy back in April 2022. I think I am also good at managing
workload because I do two courses in college, working at sainsburys
and Warrington Wolves and I keep on top with my work in college
whilst doing two other jobs. I am very good at teamwork with me being
able to fetch good ideas to my colleagues and being able to work with
teammates for confidence. The creative media skills that I have is that I
understand how to work photoshop and premiere pro so being able to
work these two softwares will help me in the industry that I want to
work in because it is heavily in that job. I have also gained skills in
QuarkExpress in the FMP when I created my Warrington Wolves
magazine that I created that the club helped me with. I also work at
Sainsburys that has helped me build my confidence up, and to be
confident with new people and talkative in a work setting.

Warrington Wolves Social Media (2022)

I get work experience with Warrington’s social media team with me

working with the first team for interviews, articles and everything to do
with Warrington. I also do all the score updates for reserves, academy
and scholarship. I have been doing big pieces of late for the first team
that can be found in my portfolio.

Prost International Journalist (2022)

I started off with Prost as a video editor but after a podcast I did with
them back in March, they offered me to work as a journalist. I write all
things Rugby League for Prost but I specialise in Warrington Wolves.
This helped me to get into the industry and understand how to work in
a sports industry.

Rugby League match official (2019-2021)

I was a match official for three years with me officiating all ages from
under 10s to touch judging in NCL men’s league. This helped me gain
confidence for myself and made me a better person. This also helped
me to stand up for myself, and to talk through decisions in a good way
so they can understand.

Sainsburys (2022-)

I started sainsburys last September in my first part-time job in order to

get some more experience. This has allowed me to get loads of
experience in a job setting, and has made me more confident in what I
do. I have also been in charge at times when needed, with also having
the responsibility to close the doors when the store closes and also
flighting the tills.
