Setting the Solderlevel control unit By G. Schouten

General
For a good control of the wave height it is important that two parameters are
constant. These are the pump capacity which can be set by the pump RPM and the
solder bath level which can be kept constant with the solder level control unit.

Procedure

1. Fill the solderpot with solder up to about 10 mm from the pot rim.
2. Fill the pump shaft collaring with blanketing oil.
3. Set the nozzle(s) and wave(s) to the desired height(s).
4. Adjust the solder level sensor pin with the waves running so, that the pin is just
making contact with the solder.

5. Repeat this procedure each time the nozzle(s) and/or the height of the solder
wave(s) are changed for more than 2 mm.

Note: Be sure that the solder level control unit has always a solder bar hanging
on the feeding chain. If this chain is at its end position, an audio alarm
and/or a light signal will be given.
