English is the second language in everyday speech. Nevertheless, the majority of people prefer to use
English because it is the international language. They claim that English is an easy language to
master. However, if you look at the history of English that has been brought down by the colonists to
our homeland and established English schools on the ground, This resulted in all the affairs of the
state administration at the time using English as the transmitter language. In any case, English is now
a compulsory subject in exams like PT3, SPM, and MUET. This is why English is essential to getting a
job at a big company. For example, if you want to get a job at a Tesla company, the individual needs
to be fluent in English. There are therefore several advantages and difficulties in the learning process,
the importance of learning, and strategies to solve problems in mastering English.

Among the experiences and challenges I faced in learning English as a second language in
communication was the difficulty in understanding and memorising the words I learned. This is
because it takes a long time to understand and remember something new. For example, when you
quote words like cardboard, the real sound is like bawd kaad. This difficulty became one of the
reasons I didn't master English because it was a subject that I wasn't most interested in when I was
still in school. Next, I put English as the most difficult subject for me to deal with because I never
understood what my teacher taught in elementary school. Besides, I'm also surrounded by great
students in academic fields, including English. However, the way they put me in the lowest position
did not prevent me from becoming a better English teacher.

Besides, learning English is essential to enhancing critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving
skills. Besides, learning a foreign language can also help you understand and appreciate other
cultures, broaden social insights, and enrich your life experience. English is the most widely spoken
international language in the world. By mastering this language, you can communicate with people
from different countries and cultures, opening opportunities for business, friendship, and

Besides, the disadvantage of learning English is that speaking some English words can be difficult.
This is because mentioning a word in English requires a correct and clear denomination because if
the denomination is wrong, it will affect the meaning of a sentence.

The difficulty or problem encountered in the process of learning English is the confusion of letters.
There are hundreds of words in English that have the same letters but sound the same when
expressed. That's why most people will use Google Translate to communicate with others. More than
that, they think that learning English is not important because they can use smart phones to
translate words.

My strategy to solve problems in English is to watch a movie or listen to a song or animation in

English. This is an effective way to write it. Besides, training to interact with colleagues generates the
courage to speak English in public.
