Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate learners knowledge and analytical skills in patient assessment and emergency care. Scenario: Upon arrival at the accident site, you noticed that a car had overturned after hitting the road divider. The driver of the car has been extricated from the wrecked car by the fire and rescue team and is laid on a stretcher for your immediate action. During assessment, you observe that the victim is a middle-aged male who is bleeding profusely from an open wound on his scalp. He also appears to be drowsy and groaning in pain. Requirement: Critically discuss the systematic assessment and the subsequent care for the patient. [Total: 30 marks)
