● Research assistant to Professor Elizabeth Harrington, conducting Bioinformatic Analysis
of the Endothelial Cell Transcriptome in Settings of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
● Used UniProt to find similar protein motifs in target proteins.

● Mentored 31 students enrolled in the TRIO Student Support Services Program which
serves low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities
● Contacted students weekly and provided assistance in making informal decisions in the
areas that include academic, social, and career services.

● Mentored one student who was a member of the second cohort of recipients for the
EAGLES scholarship.
● Contacted the student weekly to provide assistance in academic planning and time

● The CRESCENT Program aims to strengthen the institutional capacity in the Yakima Valley
for increasing the enrollment, retention, and graduation of underrepresented minority
students with degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through
student involvement in academic supports including mentoring and research.

minorities who are underrepresented in higher education for doctoral studies through
involvement in mentoring, research and other scholarly activities.

Leadership Alliance National Symposium | May 2020 – Present

● The Leadership Alliance, founded at Brown University in 1992 as a partnership of 23
institutions, came together to develop underrepresented students into outstanding
leaders and role models in academia, business, and the public sector.
● The Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) is a rigorous research
experience designed specifically for undergraduates interested in applying to PhD or
MD-PhD programs.

offering academic and personal support.
● It is committed to serving low-income, first-generation college students and students
with disabilities to earn a bachelor’s degree within six years.
● While student financial aid programs help students overcome financial barriers to higher
education, TRIO programs help students overcome class, social, and cultural barriers to
higher education.
