Firstly, all the students have to prepare their summary with analyzed vocabulary before joining the
class in order to present at the beginning of the lesson about 30 minutes for mark. Through that, he
gives comments to improve this skill and lead to new subject. Teacher instructs directly to students,
also give them some real problems to discuss and offers inquiries to perform, such as travelling.
With their missing answers, he supports by giving more side questions to explicit the main ideas.

As you can see in the following part, summaries for previous lesson must be done. Students only
use Reading Explorer 1 to do tasks, so the topics must be relevant, easily accessible, suitable for
their level. Teacher talks about purposes for every activities: scanning skill, finding key words or
topic sentence to see the outline,.. ect

Vocabulary is supplied regularly through the lesson, such as be fond of and be one’s cup of tea and
be engrossed something or doing something have the same meaning, which is favorite hobby.
Lecture also expands the reasons why people like travelling, and confirm some answers such as: let
off the steam, recharge new energy, explore new thing or even spend time for partner. Moreover,
he uses the example of glue to explain the more abstract meaning of the phrase “stick to”.
