INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH -Hook, background information

and thesis statement

Underage teenagers are going to Jail. That is not a crazy idea to

hear nowadays. People often enter in the debate about if
juvenile criminals should go to jail. Most of them defend their
arguments based in that nowadays teenagers are more aware of
their environment than in the past and know what they are
doing, but that is not the whole picture as juvenile criminals’
range of age is quite wide. As a breaking point, teens shouldn't
be tried as adults because they are still developing their
capacity to distinguish what is wrong or right, act without
taking notion of the consequences involving others and lack of a
former parental guidance

BODY PARAGRAPH 1- Topic sentence, supporting sentences

(data, examples, etc) and concluding sentence.

Teenagers don't know what they are doing. They think what
they are doing is right even though it is not. They are often easy
to manipulate by others to get involved in crimes given that,
depending on their age, breaking a law will mean nothing
compare to adults. For example, it is known about gangs
manipulating and forcing 12 years old children to sell drugs in
the streets of London. Therefore, as teenagers can't distinguish
between what is wrong or right and they tend to be manipulated
at young ages because law goes softer on minors getting
involved in criminal situations.

BODY PARAGRAPH 2- Topic sentence, supporting sentences

(data, examples, etc) and concluding sentence.

Teenagers don't measure the consequences of their actions.

From the lowest evilness to the unbelievable, minors often seek
for their own satisfaction. They don't have the process of
thinking about others when taking action that adults have. For a
matter of fact, when something goes wrong, they don't think
about it as if it were their fault until someone tells them or they,
in few scenarios, realize what just happened. There was a case
of manslaughter in Lafayette where a juvenile shot a 14-year old
boy, information given by the police and autopsy lead it out to
be an accident. Summarizing, minors don't have a sense of
culpability from their own actions when others are affected by
them.

BODY PARAGRAPH 3- Topic sentence, supporting sentences

(data, examples, etc) and concluding sentence.

Suspected minors don't have parental guidance. Often, minors

get involved in criminal activities because they don't have a
responsible guardian taking care of them. As a lack of parental
figure or guidance, teens tend to act more unwisely and
sometimes aggressive. Not only if they lack of it, even with a
guardian, if not done it responsibly teenagers could perceive the
world in a wrong way or do something they were not aware of to
end terribly wrong. From a study made by WHO and further
studies by PhD. Vandana Kumari and Researcher Pankaj Kumar,
under the age of 16 aggressions are developed by numerous
factors, being one of them poor parental bonding, monitoring
and support. In fact, parental guidance is of sum importance in
a developing teenager as it would bring bad outcomes for their
future.

CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH- Hook, summary of ideas (use your

topic sentences' information for this), and concluding statement

Juvenile criminals are not supposed to be accused and send to

jail but to be guided in a better way and people need to realize
about it. Not all teenagers are bad people and most of the time
it is not their fault. Teenagers committing crime is not to be
taken lightly, but to make the effort of making a change in
juvenile criminal lifestyle. Teens who are not aware of their
actions, given that they are often gullible or that have mislead
from the right way as a result of having no one to take care of
their formation should not be tried as adults because most of
the times is not their fault at all, but the society in which we
live in.
