0 Work Procedure
1.1 Setting Out
1.1.1 Surveyor to set of points and establish of Temporary Bench Mark
(TBM) level.
1.1.2. Setting out and Pegging work for drainage line shall be
established.

1.2 Site Clearance


1.2.1 Clear the construction site of any debris, vegetation, or obstacles
that may impede construction.

1.3 Excavation
1.3.1 Use excavators to dig the trench according to the specified
dimensions and slope, allowing space for the precast V-drain.
1.3.2 Once the formation level is achieved, the bed of excavation shall be
compacted immediately.
1.3.3 All excavations shall be provided with stable side slopes to
minimize slope collapse and to ensure safety at all times.
1.3.4 Excavated soil that is not needed for backfilling will be reuse for the
slope construction.
1.4 Levelling Concrete
1.4.1 Make sure the leveling for V-drain is establish.
1.4.2 Pour the lean concrete in to the excavation area. Make sure the
thickness is 50mm.

1.5 Installation of the precast V-drain.


1.5.1 Lift and place the precast V-drain elements into the trench using
a crane or appropriate lifting equipment.
1.5.2 Lay the0V-drain from higher end to lower end.
1.5.3 Ensure proper alignment between the precast elements.
1.5.4 Connect the precast elements securely using cement mortar.
1.6 backfilling
1.6.1 For pre-cast V-drain the backfilling material is taken from the
original suitable materials using excavator.
1.6.2 Make sure the area is well compacted.
