READING COMPREHENSION
A More and more people are using online banking to manage their money. Many banks
offer their customers free online service and allow them to pay their bills online without
any additional commission. However, some people still prefer going to their nearest
branch and doing their banking the traditional way. We asked 120 people about their
banking preferences. When asked if they used online banking, 72 % said they had never
tried it. Those who use online banking were asked what they think of the service. 76 %
said that the service was easy and convenient. Only 24 % said it was complicated and
time-consuming. We asked the people who have never tried online banking what their
reasons are for not doing so. The majority said they preferred to deal with people face-
to-face. Others said they didn’t trust the accuracy of the information on the site. A small
percentage said they couldn’t figure out how to use the online site.
