NOTICE
The Government has decided to release / credit the fourth instalment of JVD into the joint
account of student and mother. Hence, as per the revised guidelines for sanction of JVD scholarships,
all the existing JVD scholarship holders are required to open a new JOINT BANK ACCOUNT along with
his/her mother. In case of expiry of the mother, student and the father shall open New joint account.
The Joint Account to be opened by the students is ZERO-BASED i.e. students need not pay any deposit
to open the bank account.

The following documents are to be submitted by the student and the mother at the time of
opening the Joint Bank Account:
1) Three passport photos of mother and student
2) Aadhaar card of student and mother (for proof of identity and address)
3) Student ID Card (College ID) and Date of Birth or 10th Class Marks Memo
The new joint bank account shall have the student as the Primary Account holder and the
mother as the Secondary Account Holder. In the absence of father/mother, guardian will be the
Secondary Account Holder. Operation of the joint bank account shall be done by BOTH student and
the mother. Debit card will not be issued for the joint bank account. Also, the joint bank account will
not have Net banking or online transaction facility.
After opening of the new joint account, students shall submit a copy of the First Page of the
bank account in their village/ward secretariat for confirmation by the District Welfare Office in
Jnanabhumi web-portal.
All the JVD Scholarship holders shall complete the process of opening New Joint Bank Account
and submission a copy of the First Page of the bank account in their Village/Ward Secretariat etc., on
or before 24-11-2023, failing which the government will not release the fourth instalment of JVD and
the students will not be eligible to get JVD scholarships in future. For any clarification in this regard,
the JVD scholarship holders shall approach the concerned Village/Ward Secretariat staff or the District
Welfare Officials, immediately.
Final Year B.Tech., 2022-23 outgoing batch students and SC students need not open New
Joint Bank Account.
