TITLE: BENCH FITTING SHOP

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Fitting is the process applying methods using workshop tools, equipment and materials to make and
assemble the products.

2.0 OBJECTIVE
To prepare male and female parts and perform fitting process.

3.0 APPARATUS
Handsaw, metal ruler, file, bench drill, vernier calliper, magnetic V-block, high gauge vernier, squaring
table, and heavy duty table vice.

4.0 METHOD OF APPROACH

The students should perform four major operations in bench fitting shop as follows;
I. Marking out
II. Cutting
III. Forming
IV. Assembly process

5.0 LAB REPORT PREPARATION

The students should prepare a report based on given template (Report Form). Summarize the result
and present the data in tables or figures.

6.0 QUESTION
How to obtain a good dimensional accuracy in fitting process?
