Admissions to Integrated First degree programmes at BITS Pilani
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED ADMISSION
Dear SATHVIK GAMPA
Hearty Congratulations! With reference to your application for admission to First Degree Program at BITS Pilani,
we are happy to inform you that you have been offered admission to B.E. Computer Science at Goa for the
Academic year 2021-2022 at one of the Indian Campuses of BITS Pilani, based on your merit position and the
preferences given by you. Please go through following instructions to proceed further.
1. Check the website https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx to find out the degree programme to
which you have been offered admission. You can access it through your BITSAT-2021 login credentials.
(Also refer to item No. 8 for information regarding sliding up).
2. If this offer is acceptable to you, please pay in advance the requisite fees of Rs. 2,66,600/- (Admission
fee of Rs. 48,100/- + one semester tuition fee of Rs. 2,18,500) through an online mode as prescribed
below under ‘Mode of Payment’ section using your login credentials so that the same is received latest by
September 2, 2021. Please note that without paying the requisite fees, your candidature will not be
considered for admission at any of the Campuses of BITS Pilani for any further iterations as explained
below in point no. 4. Please also read carefully 'refund of fees clause' mentioned under item no. 6 before
making payment. Detailed fees structure is available at:

3. Currently the semester is planned to start via online classes since the campuses are not open for newly
admitted students. Therefore, candidates will be required to pay an additional amount of Rs. 3,450/-
only towards the caution deposit and Students' union fees as prescribed below under ‘Mode of Payment’
section. As and when the campuses open for newly admitted students, the students will be required to pay
the Hostel fees, Mess electricity advance and other advances, which shall be communicated separately.
Also, all students are required to join Group Medical Insurance, the details of which will be communicated
to them separately, after their admissions.
Important note: A candidate once offered admission to a particular programme, after an admission
iteration, may opt out of consideration for all other programmes of higher preferences (as given in the
application form). This option is to be exercised while making the payment of fees and cannot be reversed
under any conditions. To be abundantly clear, once you have opted out of programmes of higher
preferences, you will not be considered for those programmes in all further iterations. Therefore, you
should exercise this option only after mature consideration. You will not have the option of selectively
opting out of any particular campus(es)/programme(s) of higher preferences.
Mode of Payment:
The total amount of Rs. 2,70,050/- (i.e. Rs. 2,66,600 + Rs. 3450) towards payment of advance fee
along with additional amount as mentioned in point no. 2 and 3 above to be paid through any one of the
following modes:
(i) Payment through Net banking: The facility of net banking is available on all the payment gateways
(Paytm, PayU) in the acceptance form through which you can pay the total requisite amount on or before
September 2, 2021.
(ii) Payment through credit and debit card: The facility of payment through credit card and debit card
is available on the payment gateways (Paytm, PayU) in the acceptance form through which you can pay
the total requisite amount on or before September 2, 2021. It is advised that before making
transaction, candidate should check carefully the transaction charges to be paid by him/her
while using credit card mode of the payment.

(iii) RTGS/NEFT: If you choose to pay through RTGS/NEFT then use the following bank details for the fee
transfer:

4. On September 4, 2021, after removing the names of candidates who have not paid fees before the
deadline (i.e. September 2, 2021, another iteration (Iteration-II) of programme assignment will be done
and some of the candidates may slide up to their higher preference. You should check your latest
assignment after Iteration-II on September 4, 2021. You may visit

more details on subsequent iterations.
5. If you are offered admission to a degree programme at Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad campus of BITS then before
the start of the semester, you will be asked to get the documents like original certificates, marksheets etc.
verified by BITS Team through online mode. The online verification of the documents will be done by the
respective campuses, the details of the same will be communicated to you separately.
6. INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING PAYMENT OF FEES, REFUND AND FORFEITURE OF FEES:
In the Integrated First Degree programmes, a candidate selected for admission will be required to pay
fees in advance subject to the following conditions:
a) A candidate offered admission to any programme of his/her preference as specified in the application
form has to pay advance requisite fees plus additional fees of Rs. 2,70,050/- within the stipulated
deadline (by September 2, 2021).
b) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees but fails to
complete all admissions related formalities on the specified date (September 29, 2021), his/her
admission will be cancelled and the total amount of fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to
him/her by November 05, 2021. For such cases, the candidate has to submit the required details for
refund on admission website. Please note that the refund request will be accepted only through online
mode, portal for which will be available from October 15 to 20, October 2021.
c) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees but withdraws
his or her application by October 20, 2021, his/her admission will be cancelled and the total amount of
fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her by November 5, 2021. Please note that the
refund request will be accepted only through online mode, portal for which will be available from
October 15 to 20, October 2021.
d) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees but withdraws
after October 20, 2021 and on or before October 31, 2021, his/her admission will be cancelled and the
total amount of fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her in due course of time as
mentioned under item no. (g). Please note that the refund request will be accepted only through online
mode, portal for which will be available at the admission website.
e) If a candidate accepts the admission offer but withdraws on or before December 31, 2021, he/she will
forfeit Rs. 1000/- towards processing charges and his/her admission will stand cancelled. The
remaining amount will be refunded in due course of time as mentioned under item no. (g). Please note
that the refund request will be accepted only through online mode, portal for which will be available at
the admission website.
f) If a candidate accepts the admission offer but withdraws after December 31, 2021, he/she will forfeit
100% of the total fees paid at the time of admission except caution deposit.
g) All applicable refunds will be completed within 30 days from December 31, 2021.
7. ONLINE REPORTING AT BITS
Candidates selected for admission in Integrated first degree programmes at Indian Campuses of BITS
Pilani have to complete all admissions related formalities on September 28, 2021 (10.00 AM to 2.00
PM). The details will be announced in due course of time at the website: www.bitsadmission.com.
a) For completion of all your admissions related formalities online, you will be required to get the
following documents verified in original.
· Marksheet of Senior School Certificate Examination (XII Standard) under 10+2 School System or
its equivalent issued by the Board/University.
· Senior School/XII Pass Certificate Issued by the Board.
· Matriculation/Secondary School/X Pass Certificate issued by the Board.
· Transfer/Migration Certificate**
· Certificate of Medical fitness (See Proforma below).
To enable this verification, you are required to upload the documents mentioned below on or before
September 25, 2021, at the FD admissions site url: https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx.
Also, as and when the campuses open for the students, you will be required to submit these
documents in original for physical verification. Please note that until physical verification of
document is completed, your admission at BITS Pilani is provisional. The provisional offer
will be confirmed after fulfilling the following conditions. If the information given by you
are found incorrect, your admission will be cancelled at any stage. Please also refer to BITS
admissions website for more details:
1. Verification for correctness of information you have provided in the application form, academic
records including your 10+2 Marks;

2. Meeting the eligibility requirements of Grade 12 as given below;
i) You have passed the 12th examination or its equivalent in the year 2020 or 2021
and
ii) You have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics subjects in 12th year examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Please note that PCM/B (Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics/Biology) marks obtained in the 12th year only shall be considered for the
offer allotment and 11th year marks shall not be considered in your allotment even if your
board includes the 11th year marks in the mark sheet.
Further this is subject to the condition that the student should have taken all the required
subjects to pass the exam in one sitting. If you have taken improvement exam in selected
subjects, then those marks should not be included in calculating the aggregate percentage
to meet the above requirement. The acceptance of admission/waitlist offer (if any) by the
candidate would mean that the candidate confirms that he/she meets all the eligibility
criteria and he/she has submitted his/her 10+2 marks correctly.
b) You will be interacting with one of the senior faculty members of the respective Campus on
September 28, 2021. This will be done through video conferencing, and therefore you should be at
a location from where you can connect to BITS through Internet. Details of the links etc. will be sent
before the event. This interview/interaction will not change your merit order. However, if you fail to
show up for the interview/interaction, your admission will automatically be cancelled.
c) A candidate will be finally admitted only if he/she is declared medically fit by a registered medical
practitioner (Refer to proforma below for details).
d) The admission will be followed by Freshmen Orientation Program conducted by the respective
campuses (through online mode) on September 29, 2021. You must attend it.
e) All admitted students are required to undergo an online registration process with their respective
campuses on September 30, 2021, wherein they will be registering for all the required courses of
First Semester 2021-22 in online mode. The detailed process flow of online registration will be shared
with all the students by the respective Campuses.
f) Classwork begins as per the registration of courses (through online mode) on October1, 2021.
g) Candidates who wish to be considered for Institute’s merit-cum-need scholarship will be required to
submit the latest Income Certificate of their parents/guardians along with their application for
scholarship. If both the parents of the candidate are employed, he/she should submit Income
Certificates of both from their respective employers. These certificates should not be dated earlier
than 1st April 2021.
8. SLIDING UP:
Whenever you are admitted to an academic first degree programme at BITS, you are kept on a waiting list for
programmes of your higher preferences, if you have not opted out of those programmes. Until all admissions
for First Semester 2021-2022 are completed, any vacancy in any programme caused by non-acceptance of
the offers will be filled by offering the vacant seat to the next candidate in the order of merit. This process is
called ‘Sliding-Up’. According to the Institute rules, your acceptance of the admission offer implies that you
will be automatically considered for sliding up to programme of higher preference as indicated in your
application form, unless you have specifically opted out of all higher preferences while paying the fees.
9. DUAL DEGREE:
All students admitted to M.Sc. programmes will be given an opportunity to work under the dual degree
scheme for one of the B.E. programmes, assignment being made by competition on their performance at BITS
Pilani at the end of first year, separately in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Normal duration for
completion of both the degrees is five years.
10. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION*:
As and when the campuses open for stduents, you will be allotted a hostel room. Separate hostel
accommodation for boys and girls will be provided for all admitted students.
