Activities to be evaluated:
Answer the following questions:
1. What is meant by professional ethics?
Professional ethics are principles that govern the behaviour of a person or group in a business environment. Like values,
professional ethics provide rules on how a person should act towards other people and institutions in such an environment.
2. What are professional ethics examples?
Typically these include honesty, trustworthiness, transparency, accountability, confidentiality, objectivity, respect, obedience
to the law, and loyalty.
3. What is the importance of professional ethics?
Professional ethics is important because it dictates to professionals a series of rules related to the way professional acts
towards the people with whom he/she relates professionally. From a philosophical point of view, ethics has to do with
morality and with the way people act in the sense of goodness or badness.
4. What is the relation between philosophy and morality?
Philosophy seeks to understand the nature of reality, while morality seeks to define what is right and wrong. Both of these
concepts are related because philosophy provides the intellectual framework for understanding the moral principles that
guide human behavior.
5. What is the difference between morality and philosophy?
If you believe slavery, murder, torture, abortion, or anything else is morally wrong you should be able to provide convincing
reasons as to why those actions are wrong. Philosophy is the process of trying to figure out which actions are right and
wrong.
6. What is moral sense philosophy?
If you believe slavery, murder, torture, abortion, or anything else is morally wrong you should be able to provide convincing
reasons as to why those actions are wrong. Philosophy is the process of trying to figure out which actions are right and
wrong.
7. What is the purpose of the moral sense philosophy?
Moral philosophy is the branch of philosophy that contemplates what is right and wrong. It explores the nature of morality and
examines how people should live their lives in relation to others.
8. What is an example of moral sense?
As the aesthetic sense informs us about what is beautiful, we can analogically understand the moral sense as informing us of
what is good. People with a functioning moral sense get a clear impression of wrongness when they see (or perhaps even
imagine) someone being mugged, for example.
9. What sentiment means?
: an attitude, thought, or judgment prompted by feeling : predilection. b. : a specific view or notion : opinion.
10. What are examples of sentiments?
Your opinion that most comedies are terrible and that you'd rather watch any other kind of movie could be described as your
sentiment, or your attitude, about films. Sentiment means a view or opinion, but it can also mean an emotion. Maybe you
prefer tragic movies because you enjoy the sentiment of sadness.
