School Leadership Development

EduSolve co-constructs and establishes the structure and process to select, develop, and
support diverse school executives. Our Principal and AP Leadership Academy process is
customized and highly localized reflecting the values, needs, and priorities of your school
district.

Program and participant success begins with optimizing the selection process, specifically:

(a) clarifying the role of mentor principals (those currently supervising

applicants/participants);

(b) defining program entry requirements – experiences, duties, results – based on the work
of highly effective assistant principals, not the principal standards, to avoid false positives
and negatives caused by the way principals are or are not currently delegating leadership
work;

(c) defining program exit performance requirements up-front so that selection criteria identify
those most likely to move from entry to exit successfully; and,

(d) clearly articulating how the program fits into your principal selection process (e.g. Do
graduates receive some type of preference in the process? Is program completion required
for consideration?) so that the program attracts the strongest, most ‘ready’ applicants.
