Sub: IIT Jammu – Amendments in the Advertisement for filling up Non-Faculty positions
Ref: Advertisement No. IIT Jammu/02/2023(Direct Recruitment/ Deputation) dated 03.11.2023

With reference to above advertisement, it is hereby notified the following amendments in the advertisement
(in the English and Hindi version both):-

(a) Under Pay Level (as 7th CPC) w.r.t. Training & Placement Officer (i.e. Ser 14) may read as
follows:
Level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100)

(b) Under Essential and desirable criteria w.r.t. Assistant Workshop Officer (i.e. Ser 12), may read
as follows:

Essential
M.Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production Engineering or equivalent qualification with a
minimum of 60% marks and above with 03 years relevant experience at Pay Matrix level 8 (Pre-revised
PB: 2 GP Rs 4800) or equivalent.
OR
B.Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production Engineering or equivalent qualification with a
minimum of with 60% marks and above with 04 years’ experience in relevant field at Pay Matrix level 8
(Pre-revised PB: 2 GP Rs 4800) or equivalent.
OR
Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production Engineering or equivalent in appropriate
field (after 10+2) with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree from a recognized University/
Institute and 6 years relevant experience in relevant field at Pay Matrix level 8 (Pre-revised PB: 2 GP Rs
4800) or equivalent.

Desirable
(i) Experience in operation, repair and maintenance of general purpose and CNC machine, water jet
and advanced machine tools.
(ii) Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer applications, CAD/CAM/CAE software, Engineering
and Machine drawing, CNC programming & Automation.
(iii) Preference will be given to those who have atleast 60% marks in all Boards/ University
examinations.
(iv) Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word, Excel, Power point
or equivalent is a must

Further, all other terms and conditions of the advertisement for applying to a post shall remain
unchanged.
