(narrator: The two best friends are having a great time. Ana suddenly grips her chest because of
chest pain. Ana is taken to the hospital to managed her excruciating pain.
Patient Ana came to the ER holding his chest, sweating and looks pale.)

Doctor: (Ask the pt.) miss my doctor menesses, How are you feeling?
Patient Ana: It’s a crushing chest pain and it’s like an elephant is sitting in my chest.

*Nurse 2 Assist patient to the bed*

*Nurse 1 gets the Emergency cart*

Doctor: obtain an ecg please, thank you (optional pa kasi mahirap magprovide ng ecg set)

Doctor: now please put the patient in a semi fowlers position, and obtain lab values for
troponin I and ck-mb stat. thank you

Cl: now students this is our newly arrived patient, I have just been infrom that the lab values
show that this patient has a myocardial infraction
Cl: (si cl lang ang nasa camera) so my first question is what is the signs and symptoms commonly
seen with patient that has MI?
(all student raise hand)
Cl: (si cl lang ang nasa camera) you (sabay turo ng daliri)
Student Nurse 1: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) I remember in one of our
topics about cardio that pt with MI is experiencing a crushing chest pain, diaphoresis, pale and
difficulty breathing
Cl: (si cl lang ang nasa camera) what is our medical intervention?
You (sabay turo ng daliri) ( gamitin nyo nalang yung clip dito na ng cl kung san sya ay nagtuturo
ng daliri para di na kayo mahirapan mag vid ng mag vid)
Student Nurse 2: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) The nursing intervention
mnemonic for MI is MONA.
Cl: (si cl lang ang nasa camera) then what is the right order to give this medications?
Student 6: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) we start with oxygen then aspirin,
nitroglycerin then we end with morphine sulfate
Cl: (si cl lang ang nasa camera) and what does this medications do?

Student 4: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) O, for Oxygen, the body oxygen is
deprived so the body needs more oxygen to survive
( video tayo, ngayon si nurse 1 kakabitan nya ng nasal cannula yung si ana(nakatutok sa muka ni
ana ang camera then ihh ni seset ni nurse 1 yung tank ng 2L per min, nakatutok naman ang
camera ditoh kay nurse 1 dapat kitang kita sa camera yung ginagawa nilang intervention)

Student 6: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) A for Aspirin prevents platelets
from collecting and sticking together
(video tayo, si nurse 2 naglagay ng aspirin sa ilalim ng dila ni ana(sublingual) (nakatutok sa muka
ni ana yung camera dapat kitang kita sa camera yung ginagawa nilang intervention)

Student 5: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) N, for Nitroglycerin is a vasodilator
drug to open the block vessels to help the blood get through.
(video tayo, si nurse 1 nagdidikit sya ng nitroglycerin patch sa may upper arm ni ana sa part na
maraming taba, dapat kitang kita sa camera yung ginagawa nilang intervention)

Student 3: ( nasa mga students lang nakatutok ang camera) M, for Morphine this will help to
relieve the pain
(video tayo, si nurse 2 nag administer ng morphine sulfate sa may swero, dapat kitang kita sa

CI: (kay cl and student kita sila sa camera pakita na masaya mga students kasi nasagot nila mga
tanong) that’s good to hear! You're all competent of assessing the patient and knowledgeable
about nursing interventions for MI patients.

Doctor: (camera ay nakay dok lang) so miss ana, so we’re gonna have to perform percutaneous
transluminal coronary angioplasty to save your heart.
Ana: (camera ay nakay ana lang) alright doc do what you have to do to save me.
Doctor: (camera ay nakay dok lang) and after the surgery you’re gonna have to follow a
complete best rest, then you’re gonna have to ambulate by walking for few minutes and do
some range of motion so we could prevent thombus formation okay?.
Ana: (camera ay nakay ana lang) sure doc
Doctor: (camera ay nakay dok lang) and one thing, you’ll have to have a low fat,low sodium,
low cholesterol diet, so we could prevent another of instances okay?
Ana: (camera ay nakay ana lang) sure doc I’ll follow your instruction
Doctor: (camera ay nakay dok lang) good now we’ll have to keep observing you for other
complication, so always tell us if your feel anything different okay?
Ana: (camera ay nakay ana lang) okay, thanks again doc
