"Y0596-RPT-ENV-05 REVO TOC-i t Water Supply and Sanitation for Tob City Quarterly Report # 1 1 INTRODUCTION On October 4, 2005, the Local Corporation for Water Supply and Sanitation in IBB Governorate (LCWS-IBB) and Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Dar) signed a Consultancy Agreement for the preparation of Water Resources Assessment Study, Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering Design, Detailed Engineering Design and Bidding Documents for the City of Ibb. The letter for commencement was issued on November 28, 2004 and the Project Design Team was mobilized to site for project initiation on December 14, 2005. 2 SCOPE OF WORK . The Scope of Work consist of the following three tasks for water rebabilitation of existing wells, development of new wells if required, water supply headworks (reservoirs, pumping stations, and treatment) and distribution networks, and sewage collection networks and treatment: (a) Task A: Water Resources Assessment Study (b) Task B: Feasibility Study and the Preliminary Engineering Design (©) Tack C: Detailed Engineering Design and Bidding Documents The above tasks consist of several sub-tasks listed in Section 3 below, All sub-tasks have been co-ordinated together particularly in their end dates so as to produce a timely completion of the work commensurate with the general programme of work, 3 ENGINEERING TASKS ‘The Scope of Work consists of three main tasks as mentioned above. The following is a list of the sub-tasks and activities involved in carrying out each of these main tasks. ‘Task A: Water Resources Assessment Study Task A.J: Mobilization Activity | Mobilization. Task A.2: Data Collection and Site Reconnaissance Activity2 Review and verify all the existing data, reports pertaining to water and wastewater facilities in Ihb.
