To Whom It May Concern:

I have known and worked with Isaac Flannery for a couple of years. He is a student at the Northern Utah
Academy of Math Engineering and Science (NUAMES), a regional state-funded early-college charter school
in Layton, Utah. Students at this school typically engage not only in the regular high school curriculum, but
also college courses made available through Weber State University and Utah State University.

Isaac was in my rigorous CE Math 1050 (College Algebra) course, offered through Weber State University.
He is a conscientious student who submitted his assignments on time and excelled in his course
evaluations. I remember him as the “go-to” person in his area of the classroom. Isaac also excels at his
other subjects, sporting a 3.988 GPA. He has completed a number of CE and AP courses on his way to
graduating with his Associates degree while attending NUAMES. He seems to be leaning toward a STEM
field, perhaps in astrophysics.

Isaac has participated in community service, volunteering to serve food at a local homeless shelter. He
also is employed working up to 20 hours per week, while taking his college classes. He has done some
traveling in Europe which has broadened his appreciation of the sites.

I recommend Isaac as a young man worthy of academic notice and scholarship. He is a hard worker and
makes choices that enhance his education experience and overall wellbeing. He is respected by his peers
and by the faculty at large.

Respectfully,

Cory Bennett, T3 Regional Instructor
