Role Title: Crew Member

Reports to General Manager


Summary of role.
Being a crew member in Five Guys means being responsible for all tasks that go into making our perfect burgers and fries. It also
means being fanatical about delivering amazing customer service. One day you could be working on the grill, the next you’ll be
serving a customer. It’s a varied and fast paced role, but everything you do will always be to Five Guys standards. Our restaurants
only run properly when everyone works together as a team, so you’ll be happy to help out where needed, always with a smile and
a ‘can do’ attitude.
Tasks you’ll  Take deliveries. We don’t have freezers in any of our restaurants, it’s all fresh! You’ll check the
quality of ingredients and you’ll store all deliveries according to company standards, labelled, neatly
perform.

 Do Prep. To ensure each Burger and Fries we sell is perfect, we always prepare the ingredients in
exactly the same way. You’ll follow company policy and never make it up as you go.
 You’ll clean as you go, that way you’ll keep your section clean to company standards all the time.
 Work on the Grill. We’re famous for our burgers and you’ll be expected to prepare each burger to
company standards – well done, glistening and juicy.
 Cook fries. Our fries are like no other. You’ll always follow the exact cooking process for each basket
to make sure from the first to the last batch - they’re perfect.
 Do dressing. At Five Guys, there are 250 000 ways to enjoy our burgers. You’ll make sure you dress
the buns exactly as the customer has ordered them and to Five Guys standards.
 Work on the Till. The pace in our restaurants is fast. But you’ll always take time with customers to
explain how to order and ensure the order is 100% correct. You’ll deliver awesome customer service.
All with a genuine, warm smile. You’ll have fun and be nice.
 Quality Control – if the order is not perfect, you’ll not send it out and you’ll work quickly to solve
any issues.
 Selling. When the time has come to hand the customer their order, you’ll do it in an enthusiastic
way, with a quick check to see if we’ve got the order 100% correct, always with a genuine thank you.
 Being on the floor – it’s one of the best places to be in the restaurant! You’re the face of Five Guys
so you’ll welcome people into the restaurant like they’re guests in your home. You’ll also be checking
our customers have everything they need and be busy keeping the restaurant clean, checking that
the toilets are as clean – just like you’d like to find them.
 Cleaning – it’s something we’re obsessed with at Five Guys. The jobs not done until the whole
restaurant is cleaned back to new.
