A Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe


Vegan Chocolate Cake

Aim of the session: vegan cake for vegetarian


IN GR ED IENT S

 600 g flour
 105 g cacao
 540g sugar
 3tsp vanilla extract
 3 tbsp baking soda NUT RIT ION AL CH AR ACT E R IST ICS:
 720 ml water  It is butter or ghee and egg free.
 300 ml vegetable oil  It is rich in unsaturated fats.
 We used coco powder instead of chocolate which
reduced the fat content of the recipe.
 Also using coco powder enriched the recipe with
minerals like iron, magnesium, and antioxidants like
flavonoids which are present in higher content in coco
powder than the regular chocolate which might lose
some of these nutrients during processing.

E F F E C T O N H E AL T H :
 This recipe is healthy. It can be consumed by either
normal individuals or vegetarian ones.
Directions:

 Preheat oven to 180 C.


 Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl.
 Add the liquid ingredients gradually.
 Bake for about 15 minutes.
 Once out of the oven, leave it to cool down before cutting it.

Outcome:

 The recipe was successful and tasted delicious.


 The texture was acceptable, and the cake was removed easily from the pan.

Recommendations for Next Time:

 We may decrease the amount of coco and sugar while maintaining an acceptable
level of sweetness.
