General Vehicle Information

For intermittent starting or 'keys dropping out' issues, click HERE
Good battery voltage is critical to Ford vehicles. Poor battery voltage will
result in failed key programming. Always use a battery charger
charger..
DO NOT Jump from another car as this will fluctuate the voltage and will result in
failed key programming.
While there may be an "add key" function in the AD tool, this is not 100% reliable
in some cases. To be safe always take 2 keys to site.

Remote programming procedure

1. Switch ignition from OFF to ON 8 times within 10 seconds.
2. On the 8th time, finish with the ignition ON.
3. Doors will LOCK and UNLOCK to confirm programming mode is enabled.
4. Within 20 seconds PRESS any button on the 1st remote transmitter being
programmed.
5. Doors will LOCK and UNLOCK to confirm remote transmitter is programmed.
6. Within 20 seconds PRESS any button on the 2nd remote transmitter being
programmed.
Repeat step 6 for up to 4 remote transmitters.
7. Switch ignition OFF.
8. Door locks will cycle LOCK to UNLOCK to end programming mode.
